Sonn Group will be developing the first and one of the largest residential sites in Westgate. With 270,000 square metres of mixed-use land space, we look to create over 1,800 units of terrace houses and apartments for Aucklanders.

Westgate is the heart of the Northwest of Auckland and accordingly has recently been identified in the “Auckland Plan” as one of Auckland’s key metropolitan centres. Westgate is one of three major urban developments currently underway in the Northwest of Auckland alongside the creation of the Hobsonville Corridor and the development of Hobsonville Point including Yard 37 and The Landing. Together these three projects encompass 400 hectares and represent one of the largest urbanisation projects undertaken in New Zealand.

Auckland Council estimates the first stage of the combined development centred around an exciting new metropolitan centre (Westgate), new schools, community facilities, open spaces, new roads and better transport links will generate 20,000 new jobs and 5000 new homes. The Council is investing $300 million over the next 10 years in what is estimated to be a combined $1 billion investment.
